How to properly unlock that your new stubborn modem

I have read so many articles on how to unlock stubborn modes like the MTN E303 Huawei modems, the Airtel E173 (E173-2u) Huawei modems, the Glo E303 modems and the rest.

But most of the articles are not well detailed and so many people kept on asking me on how to go about unlocking these modems even by using the DC-unlock credits, so I decided to put up this post in such a simple procedure on how to go about it that even a layman will understand without asking further questions. read: How to unroot your Kingroot rooted android device

First of all I want mention to you here that all modems mentioned above are unlockable unlike what many people say that some of the modems cannot be unlocked.

And most times they point out the Glo new modems as being the one that is unlock-able, but that notion is simply not true, because the Glo modems too are unlock-able if you use the appropriate software.

I want to guide you on how to properly unlock these modems using the DC-unlock credits method. 

But it is important to note that the DC-unlocker does not support the unlocking of the Glo bolt and netpro modems, even when you purchase the credit and try to use it to unlock it, it will not.

So if you have any of these Glo modems, don’t waste your precious time and money buying the DC-unlock credit, because it will not work.

But for the MTN and Airtel modem, you can follow the clear steps outlined below.

You need to buy DC-unlock credits, and you can simply buy it on DC-unlocker site.

For most of the modems you will need to buy either 4 credits units or 7 credits units. That of the MTN E303 require 4 credits units while that of the Airtel E173-u-2 modem requires 7 credits unit to successfully unlock it.


Follow the proper steps below;
==>Download the latest version of the DC-unlocker

==>After downloading and installing it, click on the DC-unlocker client icon where you saved it on your system to open. As seen below 

 

But before I continue on the steps above, I will like to point out something here where most people easily get it wrong in following the procedure.

The unlocking of this modem can be done anywhere either at home or in a cyber café, so an internet connection is a must in other to achieve this process.

So if you decide to do it at home, what that means is that you have either a wireless internet connection in your home or a second supported modem apart from the one that you want to unlock that will provide you with the internet connection that you need.

After you have understood this, you can then continue from the steps above;

==>We are assuming that you are doing it at home. So insert the first supported modem to your system that will provide you with your internet network and connect it. (If you are doing it at the café, then you should skip this particular step).

==> Then insert the modem that you want to unlock with unsupported SIM inside in another of your USB port.

==>Since your DC-unlocker client that you opened at the beginning is still open, from the select manufacturer drop down menu at the top left hand corner of it, choose your modem manufacturer. Take note of the red marks on the images below

==>Then come down a little, you will see the round search icon, simply click on it to auto-detect your modem. The particular modem that you want to unlock will be detected (not the one that is already connected) and it details will be displayed below on the white empty space.

==> Go to the top right side, there you will see server among the list, click on it, and when you do that, the login option will appear where you will now see the option to fill in your user name and your password.

Remember here that your username and password was given to you when you bought the DC-unlock credits. Before you fill in those details you can decide to click on check login below to confirm that your credit is intact, after that you can now go ahead and fill in your username and password.

==>When you have filled in your username and password, you can now head up again at the top right corner and click on the unlocking tab, immediately, thedo job tab will appear, you can now finally click on the do job tab. It will now connect to the internet, and in few seconds you will get a reply below the white space that the unlock was successful.

Congratulations! You have succeeded in unlocking that your MTN or AIRTEL stubborn modem.
A friend of mine was with me yesterday and he was using the Glo netpro modem with and AIRTEL SIM, meaning that he has successfully unlocked the glo modem before that could be seen like that, but it is a little bit unfortunate that at this time the software he used to unlock the glo modem was on his system which he recently formatted, but as a programmer, he said he will try to see if he can recover that particular software and that when he eventually succeed in doing that, that he will definitely give me the software to unlock any modem.

So whenever I finally receives it, I will keep you guys posted.
