CONFLICT AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN  ORGANISATIONS: A CASE STUDY OF FEDERAL MINISTRY  OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, BENIN CITY.   
ABSTRACT

The maintenance of organisational peace and harmony is the practical demonstration of the presence of good working relationship between the employer and the employees in terms of efficient and effective communication, commensurate remuneration, efficient reward, sanction regime and the presence of other motivating factors that can improve employee’s performance at their work place 


Specifically in Nigeria for example, there is hardly any organisation that has not witness any form of conflict in relation to their functions and condition of services. 





There are myriad of causes of conflict in an organisation, they include among others defective communication network system, administrative/bureaucratic bottle-neck, defective reward and sanction regime, poor condition of service, unattractive working conditions and environment, 


inadequate motivational facilities and faulty negotiation platform between management and employees. These and others are the issues which are addressed in this project work.
