TREATMENT OF MALARIA IN  NIGERIAN’S CHILDREN:     A CASE STUDY OF EDO STATE

ABSTRACT

This is the study of malaria disease in Nigeria, focus particularly on Edo State where the disease is endemic. The objectives of this study is to identify areas endemic to malaria diseases, how it can be prevented from occurring and if possible its total eradication in the country. Some countries have made move in total eradication of the malaria, but due to migration of people from endemic area to control areas, the move was difficult to achieve success. Further study by researchers is still on for successful total eradication.

The out come of this study reveals that children are more affected and in some cases lead to chronic stage which resulted into mortality rate in children.

It was gathered that if (UNICEF) United Nation children’s fund, World Health Organization (W.H.O) and other agencies collaborate on intensive study on the eradication of malaria 100% success will be achieved.
