Voice Calling for Whatsapp is Now Live for All Android and Blackberry 10 Devices, No More Invite to Activate

Sometimes last year, Whatsapp announced that it will be rolling out voice calling features to its popular Whatsapp messaging app, and since then, Whatsapp users over the world have patiently waited for this feature to come alive.

I can categorically tell you now that the wait is over and Whatsapp have finally made done their promises and have started rolling out the full voice calling feature in all android and blackberry 10 platforms.

You could recall that in the past few weeks, Whatsapp voice calling feature has been available as invite only to activate or through some sort of hacking to activate, but now, Whatsapp has fully made it live on those devices without any need again to invite before it is activated.check out Infinix Next Big Thing: The Infinix Hot Note X551

All you now need to activate the Whatsapp voice calling feature is to download the latest version of Whatsapp to your android, which is version 2.12.19, and you can easily find it on Whatsapp website or Google Play Store.

Then for blackberry 10 users, the Whatsapp voice calling feature will be integrated automatically as the Whatstapp in your device will automatically updates itself to the latest version.

Just as expected, the voice calling feature is straight forward to use on start-up of this latest version of Whatsapp.

You will notice a Call Tab once you open the current Whatsapp, and the call tab houses all incoming, outgoing and missed calls.

A call can be initiated to any of your contact when chatting with them or when browsing through the list of contacts.

When you initiate a call to a contact that has not yet downloaded this latest version of Whatsapp, or if he/she is offline, you will hear a ringing sound after which it will cut and it will register as missed call on the contact side.

You should note that the call is based on VOIP and the call rate charge depends on what your Internet data provider charges for internet access.

It could also be recalled that Facebook acquired Whatsapp sometimes last year in a record breaking deal to the tune of $19 billion.
